The plunger pump is an important device in the hydraulic system. Plunger pumps are divided into two representative structural forms: axial piston pumps and radial piston pumps; The plunger cylinder is driven by a radial plunger pump.

Axial piston pump works by utilizing the volume change generated by the reciprocating motion of a plunger parallel to the transmission shaft in the plunger hole. Due to the fact that both the plunger and plunger holes are circular parts that can achieve high precision during processing, they have the advantages of volume, smooth operation, good flow uniformity, low noise, and high working pressure. However, they are sensitive to hydraulic oil pollution, have a complex structure, and have a high cost.

The oil pumping mechanism of a plunger pump consists of two sets of components: a plunger and a barrel, which form the plunger and barrel assembly (Figure 5-11), a delivery valve, and a delivery valve seat, which form the delivery valve assembly
The plunger and plunger sleeve are a pair of components that cannot be interchanged after pairing and grinding. They require high accuracy, smoothness, and good performance, with a radial clearance of 0.002-0.003mm
There are inclined grooves on the cylindrical surface of the plunger head, which are connected to the top through radial and axial holes, with the aim of changing the circulating oil supply quantity; The plunger sleeve is equipped with inlet and outlet oil holes, both of which are connected to the low-pressure oil chamber in the pump upper body.
After the plunger sleeve is inserted into the pump upper body, it should be positioned with positioning screws.
The position of the inclined groove at the head of the plunger varies, and the amount of fuel supplied varies accordingly.
The oil outlet valve and the oil outlet valve seat are also a pair of parts, and cannot be interchanged after pairing and grinding. Their fitting clearance is 0.01mm.
The oil outlet valve is a one-way valve. Under the action of spring pressure, the upper conical surface of the valve closely matches the valve seat. Its function is to isolate the high-pressure oil pipe from the upper cavity of the plunger during shutdown, preventing the oil in the high-pressure oil pipe from flowing back into the fuel injection pump.
The lower part of the oil outlet valve has a cross section, which can guide and pass through diesel fuel. There is a small cylindrical surface under the conical surface of the oil outlet valve, called a pressure reducing ring. Its function is to quickly reduce the oil pressure in the high-pressure oil pipe at the end of the oil supply, avoiding oil dripping at the spray hole. When the ring falls into the valve seat, the volume above increases rapidly and the pressure decreases rapidly
